We will miss you Matthew Perry
I am really sad today. The past several years since the covid have kinda made me numb to most of the sad news around me. The world seems to be going in wrong direction with wars, inflation and hate all around us. In a time as these, I really got the distressing news of Matthew Perry’s passing. He was a remarkable person who brought into life several memorable characters. Matthew Perry struggled with many things during his lifetime but he deserves atmost respect for all accomplishments and there was nothing he had to prove to anyone. He is a legend and should be remembered for the all love and laughter he brought into our lives.
Like everyone, I got introduced to him via FRIENDS. I was in my final year of engineering in Mysore and started binge watching the series just less than ten years since its last season. Chandler Bing hit me the most. Again, like everyone else I felt close to character or Mr.Bing. We were all shy , awkward people just waiting for love and friendship after all and we did use sarcasm as a defence mechanism albiet not as succcesful as Chandler. We even worked in similar industries , software engineering and data processing. Even if couldn’t be like Chandler, we atleast wished for a great rommate like Chandler or Joey. Their friendship was something I cherish I lot from the series. The relationship between Chandler and Monica since Season 4 is still one of the healthiest relationship I have ever seen in my life. Their growth inspired me to achieve something same with my life. To be with someone and grow along side them like our Mondler.I have rewatched F.R.I.E.N.DS more than anything else in my life and it has been been my friend throughput my bad or lone days. It is still my comfort food for any rainy day.
